The first day was all about proper preparation — a crucial step that ensures a strong, long-lasting epoxy finish.

• Cleaning & Degreasing: We began by thoroughly cleaning the existing concrete slab, removing all oil, dirt, and surface contaminants.

• Diamond Grinding: We then mechanically prepared the floor using diamond grinding tools to create a rough texture for better resin adhesion.

• Repairs: Small cracks and imperfections were filled and levelled, providing a clean, even surface for installation.

Day 2: Epoxy Installation & Flake Application

With the surface perfectly prepped, we moved into the installation phase on Day 2.

• Primer Coat: A high-strength epoxy primer was applied to ensure a solid bond between the floor and the resin system.

• Base Coat & Flake Broadcast: Once the primer cured, we applied a tinted base coat and broadcast decorative flakes across the surface to full rejection. These flakes not only add texture and style but also help mask imperfections and increase slip resistance.

• Sealing & Top Coat: After sufficient curing time, we removed excess flakes and sealed the surface with a clear, UV-stable top coat. This creates a smooth, glossy finish that’s both hard-wearing and easy to clean.
